Who Is Hart & Warden For?

Vigil 40 isn't for everyone – and that's the point.

  • People who don't need a loud logo to know what they're worth
  • Founders, builders, and protectors of families and teams
  • Watch lovers who care more about story and craft than hype
  • Anyone who wants their first 'real' mechanical watch to mean something

If you see yourself in this, join the Founders' Circle and help shape the first 100 pieces.

Why Only 100 Vigil 40s?

Hart & Warden isn't a factory brand. It's one person at a bench in Belgrade, building watches in small batches.

The first run of Vigil 40 will be limited to 100 numbered pieces, each one hand-assembled and inspected by me.

Limiting the run keeps quality high and lets me stay close to every watch that leaves the workshop. When they're gone, this exact configuration won't be made again.

Our Origin

The Story Behind Hart & Warden

Hart & Warden was born from a memory: a stag standing still in a winter forest, and a promise to become a guardian for the people I love.

After losing my parents young, my only goal was to build a better life for my future family. Hart & Warden is part of that promise—a small watch house devoted to making quiet, honest mechanical watches that outlast trends.

Every piece is assembled in small numbers, checked by hand, and meant to remind you of what you're protecting: your time, your people, and the story you're writing.

"Guard what matters.
Wear it on your wrist."

A Letter from the Founder

My name is Milan. I grew up fast – I lost both my parents as a kid, and my only goal since then has been simple: build a better life for my future family.

The name Hart & Warden comes from a memory of a stag standing in the forest protecting his family, and from the idea of becoming a guardian – for the people you love and the time you have.

I'm not a big corporation. I'm a guy at a workbench, building a small number of honest mechanical watches and sending them out into the world. If that resonates with you, I'd be honoured to have you in the Founders' Circle and on this journey from the very beginning.

— Milan

Join the Hart & Warden Founders' Circle

The Founders' Circle is a small group of people who follow the Vigil 40 from sketch to first batch. If you're here early, you're part of the story, not just a customer.

  • Early pre-order access to the first 100 numbered pieces
  • Founder-only pricing on the debut run
  • Behind-the-scenes updates from the bench in Belgrade
  • The chance to vote on details of future models and straps

Founders' Circle spots aren't limited, but the first 100 watches are.

We'll write only when there's something real to say – milestones, prototypes, and pre-order dates.
